Ty's First Grade Concert
Ty's grade had a choir concert from the musical NUTS. This was one of the 4 pieces they did. It's freakin' hilarious! The shaking is because I didn't have the camera on a tripod and I was cracking up. It's not too bad though. Definitely worth the watch. Enjoy!

Happy 7th Birthday Ty!
I'd like to start something I've seen others do for birthdays.I'm going to list the 7 things I love about my birthday boy.
1) I love his red hair. It's the first thing noticed about him when he was born
and it still makes him unique in our family.
2) I love it when he tries to hide his smile and just can't do it.
3) I love that he loves to play with his sisters.
4) I love his creativity. He may not have his father's athleticism, but he can build awesome things out of anything...he used toys once to create a robot, builds awesome temples with blocks, he can do anything with legos and he's very creative when it comes to drawing.
5) I love that he loves to learn. Math is his favorite subject. Out of the 5 reading levels in 1st grade, he's in the highest. He gets 100% on every above-level spelling test he's given. He just did a powerpoint presentation to his class the other day about Albertosaurus dinosaurs. It was so fun to watch. He loved answering all the questions his classmates had for him.
6) I love his sense of humor. He's always cracking us up. Last night we took him out to dinner for his birthday and he got a free ice cream sundae. As he was eating it he said "Do you guys hate me because I get to eat this and you don't?"
7) I love that he always wants to do what's right. One time, we went to Macayo's Mexican Restaurant to pick up take out. They sent us to the bar to pick it up and he asked me what the lady behind the bar was making. I told him it was some sort of alcohol. He was shocked and asked if everything in there was alcohol. I said yes. So now he thinks the place is a den of iniquity. This is the picture he drew the next day. It says No Drugs, there's a little alcohol room and outside people are smoking. I thought it was funny.

Happy Birthday Ty! I love you!

Halloween 2009
Halloween. So fun! We went to our annual family Halloween party at the Nally's house. There was family, food and lots of fun! We even squeezed some trick or treating in at a nearby neighborhood. Ty braved a haunted house which was pretty scary for a 6 year old! I was so proud of him. The neighborhood we went to is way into Halloween. I haven't been to such a spirited neighborhood in a long time. And the kids loved trick-or-treating with their cousins.
As you can see, dad came as himself again this year.
My sister in law's sister made this tutu and bow. So cute! I couldn't find baby angel wings at any stores so when everyone kept asking me what she was, we concluded that she was a naked ballerina.

Kaycie borrowed this witch outfit from a little girlfriend in her primary class. She loved the costume. We added the tights and the broom and spray painted her hair purple. She was so cute. There are no solo shots of Ty. I couldn't get him to pose. As you can see from the family picture, he was darth vader. He settled for that. He really wanted to be something gruesome and scary. I didn't want him scaring his sister's like last year though. Maybe when he's a little older.

Family Pictures At Last!
So this has been a long time coming. I did some logo design work for a friend in our new ward and in return she said she'd do our family pictures. Now, Scott isn't a fan of photo shoots and literally about 10 minutes before we were to leave for this shoot, he says "This is going to just be one picture and then we're out of there right?" I said no way! We haven't had a professional photo of our family since Ty was a baby. I'm so excited by how they turned out! Scott and I both agree that we need to lose weight before any more pictures are taken of us, but we think our kids couldn't be any cuter.

The latest and greatest
Okay, it's really not as great as the headline makes out. Life has been life.
The kids started school though. Yay! Ty loves it and Kaycie really loves it.

She loves to ride the little bus that picks her up at our house. The kids are both enrolled in some extra curricular activities this fall. Kaycie starts ballet/tap in September which she's so excited about and Ty will start wrestling in October. Scott wants him to toughen up. Learn how to take control of a situation if someone is ever bullying him. Wrestling does that?
Kendall is sitting up now and soooo close to crawling!
I'm not sure I'm ready for that.
